WE had a Crystal 8 WebApp using vs 2002 which we upgraded to VS2003. I also
have Crystal 9 pro on my development machine. The web app runs fine on my
dev machine but am having problems deploying. I created the websetup and
built the MSI, have the bundled version. Copied to webserver and ran
Websetup.msi. Said I had to remove old version, which I did, then reran

I upgraded a web app with embedded Crystal reports to 1.1 from 1.0. I can
run the beast from my dev environ just fine but when i run on the deployment
machine after installing it, I get two errors that almost alternate:
"QueryInterface for the interface CrystalKeyCodeLib.IKeyDecoder failed."

Does anyone know if an app written in vb.net utilizing
Crystal reports engine
(CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine)will cause any
sort of conflict with other applications that utilize CR
8.5? We have had problems in the past with dll conflicts
with different versions of CR.

The application has since been deployed by my client to many hundreds of

Most of my work since then has been in Access but I now have to do major
