help with crystal issue

Hi,
I am trying to print direct to printer using crystal in vs. Here is part of
my code.

Private Sub Button2_Click(B yVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As
System.EventArg s) Handles Button2.Click

oconn = New SqlConnection(s connstr)

'oconn.Open()

Try

ocmd.Connection = oconn

ocmd.CommandTex t = "select user_id,user_na me from users where user_id = 1"

ocmd.CommandTyp e = CommandType.Tex t

oda.SelectComma nd = ocmd

Dim ds As New DataSet1

oda.Fill(ds, "users")

orpt.SetDataSou rce(ds.Tables(0 ))

rap.Load("C:\Do cuments and Settings\userna me\My Documents\Visua l
Studio\Projects \crystal\Window sApplication1\W indowsApplicati on1\CrystalRepo rt1.rpt")

rap.PrintToPrin ter(1, False, 0, 0)

Catch ex As Exception

MsgBox(ex.Messa ge)

Finally

oconn.Close()

oconn = Nothing

ocmd = Nothing

oda = Nothing

orpt = Nothing

rap = Nothing

End Try

End Sub

When the button is clicked the page is printed only with the column headers.
I checked my sql statement against the database and it returns 1 row. I
checked to see if the dataset is populated using

MsgBox(ds.Table s(0).Rows(0).It em(1).ToString)

The dataset has the correct data. The dataset is an .xsd file created
manually.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi, I will be taking on a new project developing a web-based "reporting system". The first requirement I got from BI group is "we just want to look at the data". Basically, there is a huge database, and they want certain people to be able to drill down to the data they want, perhaps a few graphs here and there, and then extract selected data to an Excel file or a flat file for further analysis. As of now there are a handful of parameters...

I installed my application on the client machine, with all the DLLs required(added the merge modules), the engine and the rest. When I start my application and, from it, try to open up a report I get an exception "Query engine error: C:\WINDOWS\Temp\temp_*******.rpt" with some wierd numbers instead of *******. Can anyone tell me what the problem is here and how to...

I am getting mixed messages from the asp.net website hosting providers - some say they do not support Crystal Reports due to a $25,000 per cpu licensing fee, others say all I need to do is install Crystal Reports XI (about $500) on a dedicated server and it will run fine. Will Reports developed with the embeded Crystal Reports in VS 2005 run in a Crystal Reports XI environment? -- Thanks

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
