Here is a first draft of a PEP for thunks. Please let me know what you
think. If there is a positive response, I will create a real PEP.
I made a patch that implements thunks as described here. It is available
at:

Good background on thunks can be found in ref. .

Hi
I'll have probably to use sql server soon but prior to that I have a
question concerning priviledges and security.
Is it possible for someone to do like in access, ie creating a
db/table that is locked with a password? My guess is that it will be
yes but in cas of... Now is it possible for someone to make a db/table
read only rather than to lock it totally?
Also can the guy who has an administrator priviledge on the server
determine...

Re. <title>, my impression has been that a line break is _NOT_ allowed
in the contained text. Is that true? Also, I gather a double quotation
mark in the text string (and ampersand, etc.) _IS_ acceptable, but not
char entities (such as "e;), decimal characters (such as ‛)
or style-sheet defined elements (such as <q>).
Re. <meta name="description">, is a line break acceptable here? My
impression is that for the enclosed descriptor...

Hi dudes,
Got a simple webpage, with three numeric text input boxes, the idea being
that the user is asked to insert percentages of their business around the
world...
UK, Europe, Other
Obviously this mustn't exceed 100% and so I OnChange I simply want to check
that all three boxes have a value, and if so sum them up and alert the user

Again: struggling to convert old-style HTML to html using css.
I am trying to create a rectangular box divided into approx three vertical
sections. The top section contains an image I would like on the extreme
left of the box, the text centered in the reamaining space in that section.
The center third contains two lines prompting for a user's login and
password with a thirdline with some info (this section actually look OK
now).

I have an application in which I have some checkboxes and depending
which ones are checked those columns will show in the datagridview

After that I have 2 buttons:
1) export to excel button exports the visible columns from the

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
