Witam!
Mam problem z polaczeniem sie z baza danych po TCP/IP przez port domyslny
1433, nie mozna sie telnetowac ani nic z nim zrobic, poprostu niezyje. Port
jest zamkniety i nijak nie moge go zmusic do jakiejkolwiek komunikacji nawet
po localhoscie. Skaner portów wykrywa go jako zamkniety. Czy wiecie moze jak
ten port otworzyc i zmusic go do komunikacji z baza danych? OS win2k3,
MSSQL2000 Server.

hi Folks,
I am opening my access database file (Access 2003) from a C#
application. The connection string specifies mode=Share Exclusive
The intent is that the application have exclusive access to the
database file. No other instance of MS Access or this particular C#
application (or any other app) should be able to open the access
database file concurrently.

Szukam specjalisty znającego się perfekcyjne na MSSQL2000. Interesuje mnie
wiedza typu "inside", czyli struktury plików itp. Konkretnie chodzi mi o
organizacje wewnętrzną stron w pliku i możliwość gubienia ich przez MSSQL i
ewentualne czyszczenie takich stron. Interesuje mnie raczej wiedza

How to make a session "exclusive"? When one attempts to open a new
session either he's warned and asked to wait or any other openned
session is closed.
The need is to force only one user at the same time.
I'm currently using the database but also looking at a php only solution.

Hi, im making an AIM like server using TCP sockets, however i found a big
issue. when a socket is connected to (socket.EndAccept(ar)), its already
bound to a Port. since its bound, i cannot change its access to non
exclusive, but i need this port to still be open because i may need another
socket to connect on this port as well. how can i achieve this?

Now, I have retrieved or imported data from excel spreadsheet to vb6 application. Now I want to compare this part of data with the one already existing in mssql2000 server(table name being same). If some data which is there in excel spread sheet not to be found in mssql2000 server then those data has to be stored in a seperate table in mssql server.

Hi Group,
I developed a intranet site using MSSQL7/win2000 some time ago.
The target environment used MSSQL2000/8.
We were (almost painlessly) able to import the db-scheme and data from 7
to 8. (Bravo MSSQL)
Now I need to do some upgrading on the application and I would like to
have a copy of the database from MSSQL2000/8 to MSSQL7.
Is that also possible?

I am creating a new MS Access DB in code, which works fine. I then try to
open it & set a password. I keep getting an error that the DB is already open
by my machine's Admin account. In reality it is not actually open.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
