EE instance DB2 v7.2.0 fixpack 3 on WIN2K.
I select some data from a table A and write it to a file using the COALESCE
function and whitespace as the null character:
eg coalesce(col1, ' '). This column has 10,000 nulls in table A.
Select count(*) from table A where col1 is null=10,000
Using the load utlity, I load the data file as follows into table B which
has not null constraint on col1:
LOAD FROM LOAD.TEST OF ASC

Are there any implementations of truncate in db2. Is it going to be

Is there an alternate way of doing a truncate of a table that has a high
record count without using "load" and is fast?

Hi,
I am running DB2 UDB 8.2.4 on AIX 5.3. We are in process of migrating
huge chunks of data as part of benchmarking exercise. I need to collect
statistics like CPU time and total time taken to load data. We are
using DB2 LOAD to load data into tables. I have shifted through the DB2
manual but all I can find is the -v option of the CLP, which only gives
me the total time taken to load the data. Is there anyway to capture
CPU time...

I haven't found a simple solution searching Google groups so I suggest
the following using php and mysql:
Create a table mc_jscount table in mysql with two fields nonjs (int)
and js (int). Create one record with nonjs and js set to zero.

When this link is selected the statistics.php simply includes the file
that passed to it - but why does it find the file and not try to load

I know that we can use import or load to truncate tables without
filling up trans log in DB2. Is it possible to do this in a stored
procedure? How about in CLI/C++? My impression is that import/load
are not SQL statements, hence may not be included in stored procs or
called from CLI. Is that correct? I tried to use import/load in a
stored proc and they were rejected as syntax errors.
