I have just run into a problem where I have a page that posts back to
itself to execute code, except when the page does the post back it
somehow executes code that is in our home page for the site. The only
reason I know that is happening is because I keep track of the pages
executed by the user to see how they have traversed the site. Has anyone
every seen anything like this before?

I got help from Dan Guzman on how to set single-user-mode.
Thank you very much.
After seting single-user-mode, I run DBCC CHECKDB
('MYDATABASE',REPAIR_REBUILD)
Tehre are error messages.
How can I repair torn page problem?

I am getting the following error message while attaching my DB in SQL
Server 2000.
"Error 823:I/O error ( torn page) detected during read at offset
0x000000000026000 in file 'C:\TestFile.MDF.'
I basically, detach the DB from my server and copy that MDF and LDF to
another server. Then I Format my first server. Now when i am going to
attach my MDF and LDF to second server, it gives me the above error.

I have inherited a poorly administered/maintained database that
contains the following error:
"I/O error (torn page) detected during read at offset 0x000018ee23e000
in file 'F:\Program Files\ISS\RealSecure SiteProtector\Site
Database\Data\RealSecureDB.mdf"
I do not have database backups and so therefore cannot restore from
them. I want to move the database to a new platform and somehow
repair the torn page. Is this possible?

Hi all. I'm getting an error mssage which tells me I have a torn page:
ODBC error 823 (HY000) I/O error (torn page) detected during read at
offset 0x00000080b5c000 in file 'D:\WINSUPPORTDATA\Win Support
Database_2_Data.NDF'.
I ran DBCC CHECKDB and it returned no errors:
CHECKDB found 0 allocation errors and 0 consistency errors in database
'WIN Support Database'.

When a user clicks on a linkbutton on a page, i would like to render a printer-friendly version of the asp.net page and download it as an html attachment to the browser. The code below works great, with a few exceptions:
1) IE displays the FIle Download dialog box twice. (You have to click the Open button twice)
2) the encoding of the page is set to Western European (Windows) versus UTF-8.
#1 above is just a pain.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
