Does anybody know how I can change the default value for a column?
I was trying to remove the default value in order to add the new one
afterwards. This is what I tried:
alter table /table-name/ drop default for /column-name/
alter table /table-name/ alter column /column-name/
(/new-decl-without-default/)
It did not work. I cannot find a solution in the documentation. Maybe
you can help me out?

HI! I get an error with this code.
<SCRIPT language="JavaScript">
If (ifp==""){
ifp="default.htm"}
//--></SCRIPT>
Basicly I want my iframe to have a default page if the user enters in
directly. so I need a way doing this. so I check to see if the ifp value is
null and if so then assign it a value. is this correct?

I am doing a little research on Google about this topic and I ran into
this thread:
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.sqlserver.programming/browse_thread/thread/63cce060ff152dcc/1dc13d4ee6758966?lnk=st&q=difference+constraint+sql+defaults&rnum=14#1dc13d4ee6758966
I read SQL Server MVP Louis Davidson's post saying:
"Actually they are more likely to drop the concept of bound defaults.
Constraints are the standard way to do...

Hello Experts!
I am attempting to use the OleDbCommand.ExecuteScaler() function within my
ASP.NET C# web page to perform a simple validation, but receive the
following error:
"Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'DEFAULT'"
The form has 2 fields on it, called tb_username and tb_password. (see code
snippet below).

I am getting the wrong Count(*) on vb.net using the ExecuteScalar . It
returns all the rows. It doesn't seem to look at the WHERE clause. At
the same time, I am getting the correct count on "SQL Enterprise
Manager" or "SQL Query Analyser" using the same SQL statement.
Thanks in advance.
Julio.
Here is the SQL statement plus the source to the GetNumOfRow sub.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
