Hi

Books Online is always the first place to look.

Here is a good list of sites as well as books although Reporting services is
not one of the main topics:
http://www.aspfaq.com/show.asp?id=2423

If you are looking for a specific subject you will probably have to get
several specialised books:
For general SQL server engine:
Inside SQL Server 2000 (Delaney) is a must have which is right next to SQL
Server 2000 Performance Tuning Technical Reference (MS Press) on Aarons
bookshelf, just like mine!!

For reporting services:
http://www.sqlreportingservices.net/

also
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...502862-1484728

You may want to check out the reporting services news group
microsoft.publi c.sqlserver.rep ortingsvcs

such as http://tinyurl.com/5mfb6

I'm on the IS team of a medium-sized non-profit with international reach. We're trying to make some decisions regarding our Web server and database server as we expand our web site to have more dynamic content. Currently the database server houses all data pertinent to the organization (membership data, events, products, etc) in one database (~2.2 GB) as well as the web site content in a separate database (~40 MB). The web site pulls from...

I am asking this question here because I asked this question in the Reporting Services Newsgroup and did not get an answer. Does anyone know if Reporting Services is intended to work in a client/Server or Local machine environment? Based on what I have seen my guess is yes but that is a guess. In some materal it talks about it running on a web server but my supposition is that this does not necessarily mean that it would not make for a...

I'm writing a VB2005 program that needs to generate some printed output, including a main table. At present I'm doing this output simply as a text file, which works well enough to allow printing via eg NotePad, but there are a couple of important refinements that I'd like to add: one or more images per page and, ideally, some slightly better control over the appearance of the output, ie use of colour, different fonts etc. Crucially, the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
