Hi all,
I encountered a crystal report deployment problem.
I make reports with Crystal Report for Visual Studio .NET 2003. It
works fine in the development machine. And then make setup package.
Installed on a windows server 2003 system (without visual studio .net
2003), the report gives error about "Logon Failed". The data source is
specified to OLE DB SQL Server, and the LogOnInfo is specified by

Hi,
I have a crystal reports hosted on the IIS as web service. Everything works fine except that I can not access the database other than the one on which the report originally created.
I am using the LogOnInfo of the viewer to set the user name, password, database location and server names
But the following kb article says 'When using the viewer's LogOnInfo collection, you are unable to change the database/table information for a report...

I just changed my Access 2002 database to a SQL Server ADP project. I
had a form where the user entered a value into a text box and when a
command button on the form was clicked a Report was opened. The reports
record source is a query. The query uses the value from the form text
box to restrict the query.
Table name = EggsTable
one of the columns in the table is named: EggColor
Form name = EggColorForm
Form text box name = ColorTextBox

Hi everyone,
I have been using crystal report with visual basic 6. I know with crystal
report & sql server, if there is a different server name than the one you
created report. It prompts as Unable to Logon server.
I used to use the following code in vb6 which worked perfectly fine with vb6
to connect to any server.
Dim tlb As CRAXDDRT.DatabaseTable

I'm trying to integrate SQL Server Reporting Services reports into an
ASP.NET app (SRS 2000, ASP.NET 1.1). I know how to do this using direct URL
addressing, but this exposes in the query string parameters that should not
be exposed. Each user is associated with a school, and should see only that
school's data. When the user logs in, I retrieve the SchoolID associated
with that user, and that SchoolID is used as a parameter in all stored...

I am asking this question here because I asked this question in the
Reporting Services Newsgroup and did not get an answer. Does anyone know if
Reporting Services is intended to work in a client/Server or Local machine
environment? Based on what I have seen my guess is yes but that is a guess.
In some materal it talks about it running on a web server but my supposition
is that this does not necessarily mean that it would not make for a...

Hello,
I am using an asp script that uses rptserver.asp to display some
reports over http. It worked fine previously but now the webpages with
the report display just hang. I tried switching from the activex viewer
to java viewer and still the same. I don't know what changed, except I
do the Windows updates. Can anyone tell me the best way to trouble ASP
problems. The page just stays blank forever and that status bar slowly
progresses. No...

I am trying to set up a Report Server to publish reports that I have created
in Visual Studio 2005. I have been able to get it up and running and I am
able to access reports via the web and set up another user. The other user
can log on and see the reports available but when he runs then it begins to
run the report then throws the error below. I have tried looking in the
virus software logs to see if it is being blocked but that doesn't...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
