I have two different VS 2005 solutions. One is the UI, the other is my Business Objects. To ease development efforts, I have both solutions open at the same time in separate instances of VS 2005.
If I make a change to the Business DLL, and compile it, and then go to make use of that change in my UI, the only way I can see to do it is to close down the UI instance of VS 2005 and re-open the UI solution. Once it is loaded, if I type something new, I see my hard drive light come on. I can only assume it is loading up the new version of the DLL. Once that is finished, I can now use my Business Object changes in my UI solution.
So, that is the workaround. I wondered if anyone knows of a handy way to refresh the DLL cache (I assume that is what it is) without closing down the UI solution. As a side note, the UI solution is an ASP.NETsolution, and everything is in C# in both UI and Business Objects.
