Why when I publish a Visual Studio program and I move it, it will not open?

Hi,

I have created a program that is written in Visual Studio 2012 Professional. When I build the program and save it to my PC it will run from that location. If I copy and paste it to another PC it will not run.

Error: You Cannot start application ..... from this location because it is already installed from a different location.

How do I fix that? Can't I just make a .exe somehow where I can put wherever? Or use what I have and make it to where I can move it?

Thanks,

I have VB.net 2002 and am trying to open the samples from 101 Visual Basic.Net Applications. They won't load, saying they were created by a more recent version of Visual Studio. Should these examples open in VB2002? Do I need the full Visual Studio rather than just VB (despite the title of the book)?

When I run my program inside Visual Studio (debug) the bat and exe run in the background (are not visible) and all their output is redirected to my stream reader. But when I try to run my program outside the IDE, the exe starts in it's own window and my prgram...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not.
