Error when debugging Visual Studio 2005 ASP.Net

When trying to debug using Visual Studio 2005 I get

Unable to start debugging on the web server. An authentication error
occurred while communicating with the web server. Please see Help for
assistance.

I have tried http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306165/ and it did no solve my
issue.

Hi, I just installed the VS.Studio 2005 Team Edition for Developper and encountered severe problems with debugging ASP.NET 2.0 projects. Even newly empty created ASP 2.0 projects can't debug (setting breakpoint in page_load()). I'm getting the following message: "Unable to start debugging on the web server. An error occurred that usually indicates a corrupt installation (code 0x80004002). If the problem persists,

I am trying to obtain more debugging information for an issue I reported (ref. Bug #37185 <http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=37185&edit=2>). Unfortunately, I do not have access to the now-ancient Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, which is why I cannot use the pre-built debug sysbol files for debugging. So it appears I must build PHP. I grabbed build php5.1-200605011630 earlier today, but am having build problems. My environment is Windows XP SP2,...

Sometimes I get an exception in the browser and I get prompted to start Visual Studio 2005 for debugging. Sometimes I would like to start client side debugging on demand. How can I do that? -- Arne Garvander (I program VB.Net for fun and C# to get paid.)

Hi all, I implemented a basic client application. It communicates with server and works properly. Building processes succeed just by giving the following warning: LINK : D:\DOC\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\Client01\Debug/Client01.exe not found or not built by the last incremental link; performing full link This warning occurs when building/rebuilding the project after cleaning the intermediate and output files. If the project is once...

I just converted a solution from Visual Studio 2003 to Visual Studio 2005 and the Debug mode seems to be running just fine, but the Release mode crashes on the following code: std::ifstream in("myfile.txt"); float value; in >value; //The crash happens here in the getloc() function The above code is actually from a library built in Debug mode that is linked into the Release build of the executable. Does anyone have any

I just started with a new client who is supplying me with a new development box with Visual Studio 2005 installed, for ASP.NET development. When developing, I launch the application in debug mode by hitting F5. The browser appears and life is good. But when I close the browser, Visual Studio remains in debugging mode. I have to click the "Stop Debugging" button in the toolbar (or Shift+F5) to get Visual Studio out of debugging mode. ...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
