What is the difference between security requirement and requirement security?

I don't know. I don't think there is such a thing as "requiremen t security". You would be inventing something which is good PhD work!

My advice is define your terms. If you don't know what they are, create the definition. If you are inventing a new term then write a paper telling me why it is important to have this term and what the term means. Also you should explain why it is different than other similarly named terms. If you want to use other terms that are defined elsewhere or have a common definition but you don't like or don't agree with the definition then state that you are changing the definition to something else for the duration of your paper.

Here is an example:

In mathematics it is well known that if you divide any number by zero the quotient is undefined. Well that is an arbitrary definition created by the Greeks so that our system of math works out properly. However, because I am a brilliant mathematician, I don't agree that when you divide by zero the answer is undefined. I believe that when you divide by zero the answer should be 1, because if I have an apple, and I divide it among zero people, the apple still exists and is whole. Therefore it is one whole apple. Then I write a paper describing in mathematical terms why I am correct. If I am successful then the definition of dividing by zero has changed.

See, that was easy!

I am working on my first .NET development project that involves custom role-based security per the project requirements. This lead to a general design issue this week that really caused us some concern. I have described the situation below because we are very curious to see what other, more experienced, developers might suggest. The specific classes and fields are used just to illustrate the concepts. Our application uses role-based...

Hello: I am a member of a team creating a .NET application, and we seem to have run into an issue when trying to implement role based security. Our application makes use of a fairly common (table based) security model in which privileges are assigned to roles, which are then assigned users. So, for example, the user "JSmith" may be assigned to a "SalesRep" role and as a result have "Add Customer", "View Customer", and "Edit Customer"...

I am developing an online application and the last thing I need to get a handle on is security. This app is very heavy with forms. Business critical data will be entered via forms and inserted in to a database (mysql). I've google "php security" and from what I've read, I should: 1) Filter all form data by stripping all non-alpha/numeric characters out,

Hi, I have a set up where a windows client connects to a web service to retrieve a license file. The client is a consumer product which is beeing distributed to multiple locations. 1) I would like to restrict the web service so it only can be called from my application 2) I guess that I have to encrypt and sign all data which is being send over the wire, or can I just use SSL. What is recommended?

I'm designing a survey form page that will be fairly complex and am becoming confident enough with PHP now to tackle most things. (Thanks to everyone here who has helped) Before I go too far with this I was wondering if anyone could perhaps offer advice or point me to any documents/web pages that could help with ensuring the security of the form/page and site. It is likely that the form will come under attack I expect. Even comments...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
