There is a lot to consider when creating a blogging system for more than just yourself. The software you use and having a hosted machine to put it on are always critical points.

Most people use this software just to make their own blog, not to host for many people. This is due to places like LiveJournal and Blogger pretty much cornering the market and having a lot of features that others don't have.

Hi, Throughout the past few years, I've been working on a personal blog that I've written using PHP. I recently noticed that a lot of blogs support the following URL syntax: /archives/2004/04/03/ /archives/2004/03/ /archives/2004/

Hello people, Here's an interesting question that I'd like to address to the intermediate-to-advanced developers: There are quite a number of blogs (.NET-related and otherwise) on the Internet. I would like to know which ones you've found to be the most informative? Specifically, which ones have helped (and still help) you become a better developer? Best wishes,

Hello, I need to set-up & promote a forum whose users would be small to medium-sized companies needing information, and posting responses regarding emerging developments in any industry & social trends. Are 'Commission Junction' and 'Google AdSense' good resources for website revenue generation? Any recommendations for resources useful in promoting websites & blogs?

Here is, I hope, something useful for folks here. A regularly updated list of .NET blogs sorted by last updated time. This means you don't have to go to 10 blogs just to find out that 8 of them haven't updated in a while. http://www.vbrad.com/blogs/dotnet.asp Regards

My attempt to follow the steps outlined in "Getting started with My.Blogs" http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/default.aspx?pull=/library/en-us/dnvs05/html/MyBlogsGetStart.asp], fails immediately. Step 2 states 'Double-click on My.Blogs.vsi and accept all the default options. This will install a new Template to the Add New Item dialog box called "My.Blogs".' However, when I try this, the second screen does not show a default location...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
