This is the forums/questions thing, not articles. And if I'm wrong I'm about to get in trouble too.

Try this forum: http://www.thescripts.com/forum/thread638446.html
Although the part about guidelines was ok in that it asks to search first. And the linked thread IS on the same page as your new thread ...

Hope it helps

Don't use any of them. Go outside, play tennis or golf and stay as far away from programming as possible. Life's much better that way.

r0, you're evil. Java is easier for a beginner. .NET is more useful for windows applications and if you have IIS instead of Apache.

From working with .Net over the past few years, it has came to conclusion that .Net is heavily favor in the programming world due to all the work with Microsoft applications. If you are working with any thing Microsoft related, use .Net. If not, then go Java.

I think he was referring to Atran's post....I accidentally moved this thread here before I was able to remove it.

No one is in trouble. Its a common thing for people to post their questions in the article's section...even though you're not supposed to ask questions there

I was confused because when I commented it WAS in the Forums section. I didn't realize it was previously moved. Just covering my back is all. I'm here to help people and get help if/when I need it.

Well, programming help anyway. There's some help I don't think anyone can give me. But hey, I think it's programming that made me that way in the first place.

How do I compare strings in javascript? The "==" double equals or "!=" doesn't seem to work in this case. I'm sure string comparison has been explained before but searching Google didn't find any code that looked similar to this one: ----- function CheckPassword(val,val2, str) { var strInput = new String(val.value);

I am a bit confused about XML forms, is this similar to web programming languages like PHP and java ? In particular do you use a compiler or special server to view these XML forms pages and can you program an interface with these or is it just a format, if it is what popular systems integrate them into the developement ?

The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...
