Dear Sql Server experts:
First off, I am no sql server expert :)
A few months ago I put a database into a production environment.
Recently, It was brought to my attention that a particular query that
executed quite quickly in our dev environment was painfully slow in
production. I analyzed the the plan on the production server (it
looked good), and then tried quite a few tips that I'd gleaned from
reading newsgroups. Nothing worked....

One of the larger tables in our database is now 6.8 million rows (1 per
financial transaction since 2000).
Every time an amendment is made to a booking, new rows are added to the
table for each transaction, so in general we never have any call to
update old rows. Usually, we only deal with analysis on transactions
in the current financial year or the previous one, but *occasionally*
we'll want to go back further.

What is the issue with having a System.Financial class for common
financial formulas using the .net decimal datatype recommended to be

I am currently searching for a graph charting library for a website I'm
building. The graphs will be mostly financial (stocks, trade volumes,
....etc). I searched the web and found multiple charting libraries like
jpGraph (http://www.aditus.nu/jpgraph/index.php ) and ChartDirector
(http://www.advsofteng.com/cdphp.html ).
I was wondering if anybody had good/bad experiences with them or if
there are any recommendations.

Hello,
I'm currently design my project menus most of it, is a labels and picturebox
which moves and change color, i've notice the preformance is not very well
i've would like to know if there's a way to improve the menus preformance (i
think the program right now using only the cpu maybe there's a way to use
