I'm looking for charting control or library that can do
all the simple charts (line, bar, pie, etc.) as well as
some other ones like thermometers and fuel gauges. Does
anybody know of any?
I've looked at all the ones on the asp.net page in the
Control Gallery but none of them that I saw have those non
standard ones i mentioned above.

There is a System.Math class that is very helpful I couldn't imagine
any next generation framework or language without one a Math class!
What is the issue with having a System.Financial class for common
financial formulas using the .net decimal datatype recommended to be

Hello,
I need to do some financial calculations on my ASP.NET forms. Under Visual
Basic it was pretty straightforward - I just used built-in functions such as
PV() (principal value) or PMT().
How can I access those functions under .NET and display them on ASP.NET
forms?
Any ideas?

I don't see any class in .NET that contains the standard financial functions
like Rate, Pmt, etc.
They are in the Visual Basic library.
Can the VB library be referenced in an asp.net app on a shared host? If so,
how?
Can anyone point me toward .NET code to perform these functions?

Hi all,
I'm looking for a tool that can design charts and save chart definitions in
a file.
I would put those chart definitions in a database and then later load them
and render charts (as images) in asp.net application (using the library from
that tool).
That way I can easily add new charts to my webapp without changing the
asp.net source code.
Any recommendations?

Is any one charting packing considered to be the "best"? We've used ChartFX
but wasn't too happy about the way data had to be populated along with some
other issues which slip my mind right now and Dundas has bugs and doesn't do
a good enough job displaying axis labels and is very slow to paint large
numbers of series and data points.
We're currently evaluating ProEssentials which we are happy with but it's
not a native .NET package.
