How do I increase the resolution of a 640X480 jpeg image?

1 New Member
I actually want to run face detection algorithm on the image. The algorithm runs better if the resolution of the image is better. So, I wondering if there is any way to increase the resolution of the image.

Please let me know how can I do it?

If by increasing the resolution, you mean using more pixels to represent one pixel and therefore making the picture blockier, sure you can do that. If you mean make it bigger and sharper by filling in image data that doesn't exist in the file, no you can't do that. The real world isn't CSI, making a picture larger can't increase the sharpness.
