How to convert JPEG image into a binary data?

Hi,

Using ASP and VBScript. How to convert JPEG image into a binary data? Is it
possible with a command from ASP / VBScript without having to put it into a
database first?

I want to take the JPEG image from a folder, convert it into a binary data,
and stream it to the browser. How can I do it? Can you show a short code?

Thank you for your help.

You can turn an image into a binary stream with code like this:

Dim ms As New System.IO.Memor yStream()
MyImage.Save(ms , Drawing.Imaging .ImageFormat.Jp eg)

But I don't know what you expect the browser to do with this.
What are you trying to accomplish?

In my need to decode a JPEG 2000 file, I discovered like many that there was no functionality for this in the .NET Framework. Instead of forking out a pile of cash to do this, I came up with the idea that costs nothing and it is inheritently built into the Framework. So here is the solution... When you use the WebRequest and WebResponse classes to obtain graphics from a web site, these classes have built-in decoding for JPEG 2000 files....

I have looked everywhere on the web for an answer to this and the only thing I can find is converting the image format when the file is present on the local filesystem. What I want to do is use a web form to upload a TIFF image (scanned images) and convert it to a JPEG before I insert it into SQL Server. The file upload part works great, but I can;t convert the image. I certainly don't want to upload it the the server filesystem, convert...

Hi! When i use the code below to convert a wmf to a jpg image, the output will always be with a black backgound. ("data" is a byte array containing the WMF file) System.IO.MemoryStream ms = new MemoryStream(data,0,data.Length); ms.Write(data,0,data.Length); ms.Position = 0;

Hello All. I'm trying to create jpegs out of data that is stored in a binary blob format in an RDBMS (MS Access). I've tried writing the jpeg directly: while not rs.EOF: op = file(imgdir + "\\" + pic,"w") print >op, rs.Fields.Value ##where rs.Fields.Value is the data in the blob from Access. When I try to write out this file, the jpeg doesn't turn out.

Hello, If i take a jpeg and pipe it from a binary reader to a binary writer, everything is fine and I can still use it. If i take that same jpeg and piping code and simply add a byte encoded string to the front of the file then I can no longer open it in an image editor. This i would expect. However if i open that image in notebook and remove the string I entered, then i still cant open the file in an image editor, does anyone know why

I need a solution to automatically change the DPI of uploaded photos from 300 to 72. I've coded this bit of script to read the 14th through 18th bit of binary data of a JPEG and update the DPI. The script below seems to be writing to the jpeg, but the afterwards, the jpeg is unreadable and when I rerun the script, it still shows the image DPI hasn't changed. Anyone have experience changing DPI of an image? <?php $filename =...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
