Selecting multiple directories (TKinter)

Hi,

I'm currently using tkFileDialog.as kdirectory() to select a single
directory. I would like to be able to select multiple directories.

tkFileDialog.as kopenfilenames( ) seems to do this for files.

What can I do in my situation? Are there alternative classes that
provide file dialogs better suited for my purpose?

Thanks!
Fabian

Hi! Have anyone ever tried to modify the Gene Cash's Tkinter tree widget (available from http://home.cfl.rr.com/genecash/) so it supports multiple items selection ( selection of multiple files like in Windows Explorer - CTRL and SHIFT keys for file selection)? Or maybe someone knows the tree component available to download that supports multiple items selections? Then I will be able to take a look at the code and see how the multiple...

I have an application that produces two listboxes. I would like to be able to select one of the items in the first listbox and one of the items in the second listbox. However, when I make my selection in the second listbox, the selected item in the first listbox gets deselected. Is there a way to do this? I tried setting selectmode to MULTIPLE, but that option only allows me to select multiple items in one of the listboxes (both of...

I have been working on trying to write a directory watcher service. One of the requirments is that it be able to watch multiple directories, not sub directories of one parent directory, but just multiple directories. I have hit a snag and don't know how to get around it. Basically I read in a list of directories from the app.config and stuff them into an array, so that I have something like this: sDirsToWatch = "C:\Temp"

I'd like to ease some administration by having one...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
