I am interested in using libdnet with Python, how can I go about
"installing" it on windows?
http://libdnet.sourceforge.net/
Ultimately, I would like to get Scapy
(http://www.secdev.org/projects/scapy/) running on windows...currently
it is a *nix app written in Python, so I think I should be able to get
it to work on Windows, just need some help I guess.

I was wondering if anyblody can suggest me a network simulator written
in python in which I can add on my own code and extend its
functionality.
I am looking for a simulator which will simualte TCP, UDP, RTP and
most networking protocol. The learning curve for ns2 and other
simulator is too high for me at this time and thats why I am
considering Python for it.
Every help will be appreciated.

I started using Python a couple of days ago - here are a few
questions:
* Doesn't the __main__() method automatically execute when I run my
python program?
* Only when I do an import of my test.py file within python and then
run test.__main__() I can see where my bugs are. Is this correct?
(right now this is my only way of running my python program and see
where I have problems)
* Once I've done an import and then I wish to make a...

I have an installation of scapy on OS X (via macports) and I am trying
to determine if it was successful or not. Nothing I do on the network
seems to work completely, but on the other hand the installation
didn't seem to have run into any trouble so I want to be sure. What
test can I do to determine beyond a doubt whether this was a
successful installation? I tried pscan.py, which was taken from

Hi,
I was wondering if there was a ping implementation written in
Python. I'd rather using a Python module that implements ping in a
platform/OS-independent way than rely on the underlying OS, especially
as every OS has a different implementation. Furthermore, if you're
going to ping a large number of IPs, using a module would probably be
a lot faster. Any ideas if such a module exists? Thanks.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
