Hi all,
I am trying to execute a batch file from a python cgi script on an IIS
webserver on Win2K. I have changed all the permissions I can think of.
The command I am using is:
p = os.spawnl(os.P_WAIT, 'spameggs.bat')
I am using spawn because I need the Wait, but I have tried popen* and
command and none of them work either.

For example, in Python in a Nutshell, Alex Martelli shows how you can
run a Windows (notepad.exe) or Unix-like (/bin/vim) text editor using
os.spawnv(os.P_WAIT, editor, )
But how would you call the OS X text editor /Applications/TextEdit.app
- which appears to be a whole directory inside /Applications?
I'm sorry if the answer is blindingly obvious. I work alone and
sometimes just get stuck, then have to ask in public and risk
appearing...

it doesn't even show up in a dump of readline functions:

Hello!
How can I execute other exe files from within a executable file in GCC.
In TurboC 3, the spawn command executes a file and returns command to
the calling file.
whereas in GCC, the exec command only starts the execution of the new
file and does not return command to the calling file (the calling file
is terminated on the start of execution of the called file)

fork a sub shell for each command(eg: status,output =
commands.getstatusoutput(cmd)) because it is too expensive. I want to
use only one sub shell to execute all these commands and want to get

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
