PyCon: deadline for hotel reservations and early-bird registrationcom ing soon!

If you haven't registered for PyCon yet, now is the time! The
early-bird registration deadline is February 20, one week away. After
that, the price for registration will be going up.

http://us.pycon.org/2008/registration/

The deadline for hotel reservations at the conference rate is also
February 20. Act now, because the regular rate is considerably
higher!

http://us.pycon.org/2008/registration/hotel/

A reminder to tutorial and talk speakers: you are responsible for your
own registration and hotel reservations. So don't delay!

PyCon 2008: March 14-16, 2008 (& tutorials March 13, & sprints March 17-20)

Want to share your expertise? PyCon DC 2004 is looking for proposals to fill the formal presentation tracks. PyCon DC 2003 had a broad range of presentations, from reports on academic and commercial projects to tutorials and case studies, and we hope to extend that range this year. As long as the presentation is interesting and potentially useful to the Python community, it will be considered for inclusion in the program. The...

I work for a small hotel. They don't want to invest in a good front desk program and the paper system that is being used is not working. It is complete chaos at the moment. I want to make a database or program that will be able to manage the guest register and reservations. It doesn't have to handle payments at this stage. Preventing overbookings is a critical priority at the moment because it is going into high season here in Florida....

Thanks to all the proposal authors so far, we have received lots of proposals for PyCon talks & tutorials. But we'd like to have even more. Alas, the proposal submission deadline should have been set after a weekend, not before. So we have decided to extend the proposal submission deadline to Monday, November 19 at midnight (Chicago time). This gives you a *whole extra weekend* to write up your talk and tutorial ideas! If you've been...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
