hoping someone can help ...
how do I install ming (with python) on win32? have downloaded the tar.gz
of ming-0.3.0 which doesn't have a handy self-installer, and I'm
absolutely foxed as to what to do next ... the install instructions in
the package seem to be linux oriented, which to me may as well be in greek
any clues much appreciated, thx

I don't know what you've downloaded, but it does not sound like the
right thing, err ming. The installer found here is 5.1.3. http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...?group_id=2435
Maybe you should consider cygwin?

I think the OP is referring to this: http://ming.sourceforge.net/
If so, it looks like it needs manual compilation using a C/C++
compiler of some sort.

Maybe you want this one: http://www.develer.com/oss/GccWinBinaries
Quote from that page:
"""
Unofficial MinGW GCC binaries for Windows
This page contains a friendly installer for GCC 4.1.2 for Windows (native "mingw" win32 version).
It's an unofficial release, not promoted by the MinGW project. It features full Python integration.

yup, ming as in the ability to make swf files ... got it running with
php no problem, but python seems another story ...
manual compilation using c/c++ sounds complicated - is this the sort of
thing i could do without knowledge of c/c++ or am i just barking at
lamp-posts ?
thx

Greetings!
I've installed Apache 2.0.xx and PHP 4.3.2. I want to use Ming as a module
to PHP. The instructions that came with Ming say to:
as a php module (unix)
download php_ming.so.gz
uncompress it and copy it to your php modules directory
(you can find your php module directory by running php-config
--extension-dir)

Yes I know its a PHP group, but i believe someone as made a binary of
Ming that is symbolically linked to PHP on Windows. Please don't
bother telling me to use "the right tool for the right job, that is
PHP (since it works there)" type of response. I'm sure PHP is great
and all that but I really need a hand here ion compiling ...

I have yet to find a way to compile the source of Ming (a library to
produce SWF files (Flash), http://ming.sourceforge.net/) to run from
Python under Windows XP
Even with some help (from a C++ 'nix senior programmer), I just can't
make it (SIGH)
Did anyone reading this ever mage it work???
The PHP module seems very popular (even available in binaries :0 ),
but I'd rather program in Python!

I tried to install Ming
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/ming/)
on Windows to use with Python *but*
I can't use "make" to install it.
Does anyone know where I could find a ready-made compiled
version for Windows to just "put in" my site-packages directory.
Any help would be appreciated.

Is there a way to import or insert external movie clips, images, and variable pairs into an SWF at PHP runtime, rather than at SWF runtime?
Everything that I've read in the Ming documentation is about inserting the "LoadMovie()" actionscript functions with ming. However, I need to PHP to build an SWF that can be handed off and is not dependent on anything once it's gone. Therefore, PHP would need to be able to insert the movie clips and...

It might be slightly off topic here but couldn't find a more suitable
place for this question:
I'm trying to build the python binding for ming -- http://ming.sf.net

doesn't seem to detect my python installation correctly. The strange
thing is that it seemingly detects everything correctly, but a final
check still fails. I have the python 2.5 source distribution...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
