Ming Functions or maybe Flex???

1 New Member
Is there a way to import or insert external movie clips, images, and variable pairs into an SWF at PHP runtime, rather than at SWF runtime?

Everything that I've read in the Ming documentation is about inserting the "LoadMovie( )" actionscript functions with ming. However, I need to PHP to build an SWF that can be handed off and is not dependent on anything once it's gone. Therefore, PHP would need to be able to insert the movie clips and images itself, and then save the SWF.
... Better yet, if Ming could open an existing SWF and add the vars, and images, and then re-save to a new SWF!

I've ran into Flex in my research also, however, it doesn't appear that this will perform at this capacity either.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Hello, is there a way to feed an ifstream to a parser generated with flex and bison? I could see that flex wants a FILE* for reading, but I only have an ifstream (actually and ifstream*) for input. It seems that flex++ can use an ifstream; but how does the generated lexer then work with bison? Or is there a (portable) way to get a FILE* from an ifstream? Thanks in advance, Oliver Gerlich

Guys, I've been designing applications for the financial services industry using MSFT technologies for many years (Win32 API, MFC, and now .NET WinForms). All applications are Internet-based, with a "thick client" which makes calls to my grid of servers via a socket or remoting connection. Customers are pleased with my work but it seems that over the past twelve months or so, those same customers have expressed a strong demand to...

It might be slightly off topic here but couldn't find a more suitable place for this question: I'm trying to build the python binding for ming -- http://ming.sf.net -- but for some reason the python macro for autoconf -- python.m4 -- doesn't seem to detect my python installation correctly. The strange thing is that it seemingly detects everything correctly, but a final check still fails. I have the python 2.5 source distribution...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
