UDT wrappers

Found a couple of papers that mention Python wrappers for UDT have
been written but Google fails me.

Do any of you know of such wrappers?

Have downloaded UDT SDK but source is in C++.

I'm having a problem with the python wrappers generated from a type library. The symptom is that I get failures to find connections points inside the wrappers when called from DispatchWithEvents or WithEvents - e.g. "com_error: (-2147220992, 'CONNECT_E_NOCONNECTION', None, None)" It seems that the coclass_clsid property of some classes is incorrect. It seems that when a coclass in the type library has multiple " dispinterface" it can...

Does anyone know of a framework or library that will enable me to use publish/subscribe comms? I want to create a server (using Python) running on a Unix box that will accept client connections (from GUIs built with wxPython) and publish realtime data updates to them. Any advice on where to start? Thanks. A.B.

OK, I am looking for advice or tips and suggestions. I have overcome a lot of the obstructions I had to building the page design my customer was asking for. I am looking now at ways to deliver content dynamically within the wonderful framework I created. Whilest I look into the various methods of delivering content within a container of one form or another in the existing HTML, I am also exploring the possibility of using some form of...

Also note that, when using the System Monitor Automation Interface with Microsoft Visual Studio® .NET, you should use the managed code wrappers for the interface. These wrappers are included in the component named "3"...

Hi, Is it safe to put my objects that are managed c++ wrappers to the session? I want to pass them from one page to the other in the session object but I noticed strange (maybe it is ok) behaviour: sometimes destructors from unmanaged classes (that are being wrapped by my wrappers) are called when it's not needed. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Regards, mirek

Every time I open my project, I get a warning which says "There are updated custom wrappers available for the following referenced components: Office." When I double-click on the warning, I get a dialog box which says "One or more custom wrappers for COM components have been installed on your machine after you added references to those COM components. These wrappers may provide additional capabilities not offered by the auto-generated...

Hi All, First, perhaps some would be kind enough to help me, once I state my approximate background I have written a moderately complex c++ program consisting of 11 files, all Bloodshed Dev. I have also read and understood c++ Primer, and feel I know even the most advanced topics in that book reasonably well. I also know matlab fairly well.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
