I am trying to modify the Mailman Python code to stop mapping
MIME-types and use the extension of the attachment instead. I am
pretty much clueless as to what I need to do here, but I think I have
narrowed it down to the Scrubber.py file..

Hi all,
I need to limit as much as possible the lenght of a source line,
stripping white spaces (except indentation).
For example:
.. . max_move and AC_RowStack.acceptsCards ( self, from_stack, cards
)
must be reduced to:
.. . max_move and AC_RowStack.acceptsCards(self,from_stack,cards)
My solution has been (wrogly): ''.join(source_line.split())

Python's InteractiveInterpreter uses the built-in compile function.
According to the ref. manual, it doesn't seem to concern about the
encoding of the source string.
When I hand in an unicode object, it is encoded in utf-8 automatically.
It can be a problem when I'm building an interactive environment using
"compile", with a different encoding from utf-8. IDLE itself has the

Hello,
I am trying to come up with a function that will search the source
of the page for a specific string.
If that string is found, then have it modify specific tags inside
of a table and display a link on the page.
This link, when clicked will then restore the modified tags
back to their original values.

Is there a way in python to add the items of a dictionary to the local
function scope? i.e. var_foo = dict. I don't know how many

exec statements are difficult for debuggers to deal with, so as a
