Sorry, I can't help you. Doesn't mean someone else on this list can't
though. Good luck.

(You might try finding a command-line tool that can do the job and use
python to script that. Or look for a C lib that does it and wrap
that...)

You can try http://videocapture.sourceforge.net. The web page focuses on
USB webcams, but if it's using a standard XP interface (like DirectShow or
WIA), there's a good chance it will drive your 1394 camera as well.

Hi all, I hava java application that wants to receive windows events when a device like an USB or Firewire is plugged in. I know how to do this natively in C++ where I can register a window to receive device change events. I'm assuming I'd have to use JNI to somehow get the events up to my java app, but I'm not sure where to start exactly. Any help/suggestions will be much appreciated. Regards, Tuism

Communications on the Windows PCs use a class derived from CAsyncSocket(). I have written client and server versions of my software for use on the appropriate PCs. I am also using communicating with a legacy DOS based system, with the software...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
