Hi all,
I just installed the wxPython-2.4.1.2 demo RPM on my RedHat Linux 9.0
machine, which has Python 2.2.2 on it, and I'm having a problem
running the demo.py program. Here is a trace of the results:
python demo.py

I would like use custom labelnames for rows in the wxGrid which I use
through wxpython. The SetRowLabelValue from wxGridTableBase isn't doing
anything.
Is it posible to use custom rowlabels same as columnlabels?

Dear All,
I have wxpython under both windows and Linux. Under Windows there is a nice
little demo, which demonstrates all the widgets (with accompanied source
code).
I presume the same demo is under Linux, but I can't find it. Where should I
look? I'm using Debian, is it a separate package?
Thanks

I am running Suse 9.0 with python 2.3-52 and python-wxGTK 2.4.1.2-43.
Everything has been installed from the CD distribution and should work
together.
when trying to run the demo, I get:

Recently I replaced Win2k with Linux on my desktop computer. Using mostly
multi-platform software I thought this would be easy. It was not as
easy as expected getting wxPython to work. There seemed to be no SuSE RPM
so I installed from source. Here are my steps (gtk 2.4 was already
installed):
- Built wxWidgets (.configure --enable-unicode)
- Built wxPython (python setup.py install)

I'll soon start development of a specialized small app and need
to choose GUI for it.
I have narrowed the choice to wxPython/PythonCard and QT/PyQT
(buying commercial licenses is not a big problem, the company
would pay for it).
Which is better for this kind of application? I mean, looking
from purely technological and long-term development aspects
and ignoring licensing issues:

If there is a wxPython on Debian user in the house? I am using the
version of the demo that came with the apt-get download of wxPython.
I thought I'd followed the instructions for installing and unpacking
the wxPython demo program. It appears to run after a fashion, but I
also get this at the commandline.
Any help much appreciated.

Hello,
I am new (very) to Python and have just down loaded the latest version
of Python (2.5) and WXPython (2.8).
For some reason I cannot get the WXPython demo to run at all. I run
windows XP and it can't find a program to run the demo. Any advice?
(apologies if this has been posted before).

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
