I want to store frequently-used graphic elements in a db and serve
them from there rather than from the filesystem.
Is there a better/faster way to do that than this? (error checking
etc not shown)
The relevant piece of the page:
<?php
echo
'<table><tr><td>

I am trying to work with a program that is trying make an HTTP POST of text
data without any named form parameter. (I don't know - is that a normal
thing to do?) I need to write a CGI program that accepts and processes that
data. I'm not seeing how to get at data that's not a named form parameter.
I wrote a simple CGI program to echo a string representation of the
cgi.FieldStorage class that's recevied, and one to make an HTTP POST to it...

I have a website with no ssi, php, cgi...nothing. Plain old flat pages are
all it serves.
I need to upload a list to it - a big, plain text list in html. A 2Mb list!
With gzip compress, it comes down to 91Kb, much more modem-friendly!
After about 30 minutes of googling, I haven't yet found a way of serving
this page up like this.
I can't send headers as no php or .htaccess is allowed. Any ideas?

Hi,
I currently writing a serialize/unserialize architecture. The read/write
function will read/write from a binary file.
My question is is there some sort on defined standart to use when
representing data type (int , int32, int64, double, string, etc....) ?
Thanks,

I have a C program that writes binary output to stdout,
which works fine in Unix/Linux. But when someone else
compiled and ran it in Windows, every time the program
emitted a 0x0A, Windows interpreted it as an lf, and
preceded it with a spurious 0x0D cr. Cute. Is there
some way I can freopen() (so to speak) stdout in binary
mode under Windows so that doesn't happen? Hopefully,
the fix would be portable, so it could compile and...

Hi guys,
This may be a dumb question; I'm just getting into C language here.
I wrote a program to unpack a binary file and write out the contents to
a new file as a list of unsigned integers. It works on an IBM mainframe
under AIX with GCC, but has trouble on Intel with GCC (DJGPP). I think
it's an endian problem.
The trouble is, although most values in the extracted list are correct,

I hope I posted this to the correct group. If not, please let me know and I
will get it posted in the correct section.
I have a web application developed in ASP.NET using C# for the code behind.
I need to be able to print shipping labels from a web page within this
application. The shipping label data is pulled from a 3rd party application
and comes in binary format specific for certain brands of label printers. I
have a class library...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
