How to hide output characters on Windows

Hi there

I want to hide output characters in my py program. I found that for
Macintosh you implement 4.12 quietconsole -- non-visible stdout output
(http://www.python.org/doc/2.0.1/mac/...etconsole.html)

Can you help me, how I can hide output characters on Windows?

Best Regards

I am trying to use a command line program to run a stored procedure that generates output in a comma-delimitted format. Somehow, ISQL or OSQL always wrap the lines at 256 characters. I believe this has something to do with the column width switch (-w). But enlarging the column width to 800 characters max still doesn't help. The following is a stored procedure that is essentially doing what my stored procedure is doing: create procedure...

I need to apply the HTML formatting tags and the French accented characters in a XML document. The XML is generated from a database that has HTML tags and French accented characters in the records. I have specified <xsl:output method="html"/> and encoding="iso-8859-1". When I apply the xsl:value-of and set the disable-output-escaping to "yes", the HTML formatting tags are displayed correctly, but the French accented characters are...

I am using the XslTransform class in C#.net to output XML files that include non-ascii Unicode characters such as the Greek capital letter theta U+0398. I can easily outout the data as serialized UTF-8 by using the default encoding of UTF-8; however, my customer wants any non-ascii characters output as numerically-entity encoded characters, e.g. Θ (where 920 is the decimal equivalent for hexadecimal 398). If I use the Saxon processor or...

What is the best way for that? I store all Data in the original form in the Database. To prevent output fields (especially the fields everyone can use) to do bad things like killing the page-design or even worse attacking my site with javascript directives i use stuff like (WebControls.Label)Output.Text = HttpUtility.HtmlEncode(userDefinedData); and my own functions which allow Line-Breaks and handle links. But that way seems not to be...

I'm new to php and was wondering if the following was possible... I would like to have a list of items loaded from a text file, process each item in the list and then return the processed result to a new window so that the new window displays the results, one by one, until it is done processing the list. I considered javascript but the whole client-side/server-side divide seems difficult for this newbie to figure out. Is what I want...

Ok, I am wondering how do I set the amount of characters per line that a richtextbox will have. I have a save dialog code and i want to set the characters to 64 characters then goto another line and save it like that. Right now when it saves a line of text, say 128 characters, it puts it all in 1 line. I would like it to split the line into two lines in the output .rtf file. ' Create a SaveFileDialog to request a path and file...

I'm writing a script for CLI on a windows server that needs the password characters hidden or masked from the user. I've found information on how to do it in a Unix Shell but not in a Windows MS-DOS environment. All I need is the characters typed at the CLI to be hidden or masked with say a ' * '. Any ideas?

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
