Hi, I developed a site and used css. I put almost all style
information in the css and used a lot of "id=my_css_class" in the
html. They is little style specification in the html. I found that on
some computers with slow internet links this seems to be a small
problem. Looks like the html page was loaded first and displayed in a
very ugly layout because the css has not be loaded yet. Then the css
was loaded and the page became beautiful....

Winforms Datagrid Qoute (MSDN):
Expanders are displayed in each parent row that contains a child table.
Clicking an expander generates a list of Web-like links to the child tables,
which when selected cause the child tables to be displayed end Quote.
I hate it:
1) This 'expando' icon is painted on each row even when no child belongs to
it.
2) When clicking this 'expando' icon you get a link to the child data, not
the data itself....

The TabControl that shipped with .NET 2.0 is seems to be buggier than
dog droppings in high summer. Among several complaints, the tabs
themselves look horrifically ugly when their pages have the focus, at
least when run on Windows XP.
I need to create a form with several tabbed pages and would really like
something that at least looks likes the older TabControl (I have a
project written in 1.0, and the tabs look great.) Is there any way...

I have a typedef in a base class, and I want it to effortlessly filter
through to the derived class. Here's a quick example:
class Base {
public:
typedef unsigned SpecialType;

I have to validate the user input
to prvent HTML injection.
I use validateRequest=True
and when a potentially malicious input occurs
AspNet immediately sends its ugly page
about the 'System.Web.HttpRequestValidationException',
a difficult to understand page and that compels the user
to go back to the previous page with his browser's button.

Hi,
first I would like to apologize about my question because usually I hate
specific implementation but in this case I really would like an answer.
Besides my example is an example of what's not to be done but I am aware
of that.
Don't loose time tell me that I should use standard implementation and
consider my question as theoretical.
So I am using Microsoft compiler and I have a class with lots of methods
with get and set :

Hi guys,
I've been using Python for some time now, and am very impressed with
its lack of red tape and its clean syntax -- both probably due to the
BDFL's ability to know when to say "no".
Most of the things that "got me" initially have been addressed in
recent versions of Python, or are being addressed in Python 3000. But
it looks like the double underscores are staying as is. This is
probably a good thing unless there are better...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Adolph will...
