But you should know that there are plenty of "test" groups, if you are
unsure about your setup working.

Nicknames are fine. As long as they are not *really* offending, I don't
think anybody cares.

I don't think the nickname is really necessary. Many responsible
folks on usenet use their real names -- over time, it builds
credibility, IMO.
