Python on HPUX depot file?

I'm looking to install python on hpux 10.2. Anyone know of a site
hosting a depot file of a recent python? Thanks.

http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/La.../python-2.3.3/

Has a version for later HP-UXen at least, and a general source
package.

Haven't tried that version. Back in the day of Python 2.1, when I was
still dealing w/ some hp-ux machines (can't say I miss those), we
ended up compiling Python from the stock python source because the
porting archive version had threading disabled.

Yes, HP has a large archive of precompiled open source packages.
Don't know the exact URL, but a search on the HP homepage should
help you. Most packages are available for both HP-UX 11i and 10.

I need to test some lsof source code and have loaded Flawfinder 1.22 to test it. Flawfinder required Python 1.5 or better so I loaded Python 2.2.3. This is all running on an HPUX 11.11 server. When I run: /opt/flawfinder-1.22/flawfinder /usr/local/bin/lsof-4.67 I get the following error: No such file or directory: python I am totally new to all these programs. Can anyone help????

I'm having a problem on windows (both 2000 and XP) with a multi-threaded tkinter gui application. The problem appears to be a deadlock condition when a child thread pops up a Pmw dialog window in the context of a main window. The problem does not occur on HPUX or Linux. The following simple example code illustrates the problem and the work around I've come up with; However, I'd like, very much, to get rid of the kludgy work around....

I'm looking for binaries of Python (2.3.4, preferably) which run on Solaris and HP-UX. I need to be able to install them as a non-root user (hence, to a private directory, something like ~/bin). Do such things exist, and if so where would I find them? I'm not a Unix admin, so if the answer is a pointer to a well-known archive site, I'd appreciate that. There was nothing I could find at python.org. Sadly, I'm not sure that any of the...

I'm trying to create a file depot that will hold files for 24 hours and then kill them. Basically a temporary place for people to post something that will automatically notify the person that it's posted for. Although I'm new to ASP and HTML, I've got quite a bit of development experience. If this wasn't web based it'd be a peice of cake... But I'm not sure how to do a couple of things through the web... I figure I'll write a service...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
