Zope help system, password needed in windows

Hi all, i may be flamed but did not find anything on that. I have zope
2.7 running on windows 98 and I really like it. Problem is when i use
the zope help system I am asked to give a login and password to get
access to some sections (python scripts API reference and zope API
reference). I tried my standard admin login but hey it didn't work
with that one. I am a python and zope nubee so i was thinking it could
help me reading that doc. I would really appreciate it if someone
could tell me what i missed.

Best regards.

It is a bug, it's already fixed on 2.7.2. On the future, you may
subscribe to:

mail.zope.org

Then you can post your zope related questions to:
zo**@zope.org

Regards,
Josef

Hello all, I am writing a script where I need to use the system() function to call htpasswd. I can do this just fine on the command line...works great (see attached file, test.php). When my webserver runs that part of the script (see attached file, snippet.php), though, it doesn't go through. I don't get an error message or anything...it just returns a "1" (whereas it should return a "0") as far as I can tell. I have read the PHP...

Hi, all; I'm strictly an amateur developer who has dabbled in a half dozen languages on eight or nine systems over 20 years or so. I have never devoted the time or energy to thoroughly learn any one of them, so I have become a true JOATAMON (Jack Of All Trades And Master Of None). I apologize in advance for any truly newb sounding questions. I did Google for this in several places first (Zope.org, Gentoo forums, and Google UseNet...

Hello all, So Zope still lives, yay. Well, I like that they use Python. <rant> What amazed me is they write that they "added types to the variables and hope that it will be added to the Python project too". Really. ROFL.

Now i have decided to write a web app that googles into my companies proprietary database. I need to know whether zope is good for that job. But even the introduction to zope in the zope book was intimidating. Are there any simple options? If so plz tell me how i can obtain it and study it. I should say that i am new to web...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
