does anybody know how to access samba/windows shares on a network? is
there any module that does this?
i am running linux and i thought of using the mount command to mount that
remote share and then access it, but i was wondering whether that is the
right way?

access for file upload (as in Unix ssh service), and at the same time allow
users to serve ASP.NET files (via mounting the Unix drive on a Windows Server
with Samba and having such file configured as a virtual IIS directory).
