extending dbexts

hi,

i'd like to know if it's possible to extend dbexts to other database
modules as MySQLdb ...

For the moment, it only supports zxJDBC and mxODBC modules but they say
that it "could easily be modified to support others. It allows
developers to write scripts without knowledge of the implementation
language of Python (either C or Java). " (see
http://www.jython.org/docs/zxjdbc.html for details).

I just begin to use python and i looked at dbexts.py but it seems to be
a bit complicated ....

Does anybody know if dbexts support new modules now or if there are
projects around that ?
I searched some resources about dbexts on the web but didn't find so
much things ....

thanks,
vincent

In the "Extending and Embedding" part of the Python documentation: section 5.4 "Extending Embedded Python" - it describes how to use a Python extension module from Python that is embedded in a C application. Is it safe to call Py_InitModule() more than once in the same application - in order to be able to use more than one extension module?...

Hi, I've been thinking about how to do this, but can't think of a solution. I'm looking at the O'Reilly Programming C# book and I have a question about extending and combining interfaces syntax. It just looks a bit odd to me, the two syntaxes look identical, but how does C# know which is extending and which is combining? interface IStorable{ void Read(); void Write(object o); }

Hello everyone. I own two books. Learning Python and Python in a nutshell. When cross referencing the two books to try and clarify the ideas behind extending methods and delegates, this is where confusion veered it's ugly head :( Learning Python explains on page 324: Class Interface Techniques (21.3.3 in the ebook) the following is an...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
