console chat

I want to make a python script which connects to a server to start getting
data and interacts with user in the same time ala chat. I want it to run in
a terminal/console. After I connect a socket, how to ensure that it is
writing text from the server if there is any waiting for possible user input
in the same time?

Thanks

This is driving me crazy. I finally got the Remoting sample chat application working almost. When I run the chat client in VS.NET it goes into an endless loop -- that's because I assume that there is now way for me to interface to a Console.ReadLine(). However, when I run it in the cmd window, it does not output any Console.WriteLine()s ( even the "Hello" that I put as the first

I am trying to create a very simple chat program using UDP through a web page. I am having problems getting this going. All the examples I've seen deal with remoting or application variables, or web services, etc. Does anyone have any resources to point me to (either VB.NET or C#) that explains how to create a simple chat on a web page? thanks. Hi all! I am currently working on a project where I need to create a web-based chat application that will be used for auctions. If possible, could I get some advice on how to create chat applications and which part of the .NET framework should I delve into? I would really appreciate the help! Cheers,

Alright, I've set up a chat system that only works half way... I need suggestions on how to make it work better... I'm trying to figure out a way to make $_SESSION viewable to all players by making it equal $cchat, but I don't think it will work... I don't like to use the database because then the chat would become really tangled. It's only there for admin access. I want to keep the chat session specific while having what is posted...

I wrote a chat width AJAX. In my home wampserver apache it works just fine. The problem starts when I trying to upload the chat in to my real server. The chat prints error 403 in places which it should print the http request. Like I don't have permissions in these pages. there two things I should mark 1.I did let permissions to write and execute (chmod) my chat files. 2. My home server php version is 5.3 and my distant server php...

I am looking for an asp.net based chat software. I have looked at some (asp.net and php based) and they consist usually of a javascript piece where the web user (visitor) initiates a chat from a web page, an operator client which is usually a desktop app or browser based and the server part which serves as a controller between the operator and visitor, sending and receiving the chat text between them. What I have noticed is that the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
