One thing that's kept me from even looking at IDEs is that to the best of my
knowledge none of them will integrate properly with external editors like
Emacs or vi. I know lots of tools support "Emacs-like keybindings", but
believe me, I've never found one that does a decent job of that. There is

Hi,
I just want to send a very simple email from within python.
I think the standard module of smtpd in python can do this, but I
haven't found documents about how to use it after googleing. Are there
any examples of using smtpd ? I'm not an expert,so I need some examples
to learn how to use it.
Or maybe there is a better way to to this?

hi everyone
Im trying to include an external js in my aspx page under the head
tag, it doesn't load or it displays an object expected error whenver
the function from the .js is called. Actually for repeated html im
using the external js, i mean the TOP, BOTTOM they are repeated in
every page, so i include them as functions in the external js and call
them. Why it doesn't work?

python script. Something like os.system('test.exe'). I
want to set a timeout for the external windows program
to return. If no results are produced by the external
windows program (test.ext) within this timeout limit,

Hey,
I'm fairly new to using python, but I started in my computer science course and I really enjoy using it. I was wondering if I could use python to run a program in bash where the python script specifies options such as:
mencoder -dvd 1 -oac copy -ovc copy -o movie-rip.avi
Is there any way I can change the options through an interactive python program? Or is it just ridiculously complicated?

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
