Hello, I have a little problem and although it's little it's extremely difficult for me to describe it, but I'll try. I have written a program which extracts certain portions of my received e-mail. The content of the e-mail is actually predictable, it has one very long list of numbers, something looking like this:

May be a bit off-topic... When bots scan the web for e-mail address to use for spam, do they look at what the browser is displaying, or scan through the underlying HTML markup for e-mail addresses? At work, we have stopped displaying our webmaster e-mail on our pages and created a form that uses cgi to process and send the message. Our e-mail however, is hard coded as a variable in the form and sent to the script. Will harvesters...

Hi all. I don't know if this post is really at the right place but I hope someone can help me.. I developed a NT service, in order to automate mail exchanges between different kind of users This service uses the POP3 and SMTP protocoles to perform the task Because we have a very heavy security policy, with no accessible SMTP gateways, I coded the use of Outlook (only for sending) as an evolution, with the classical outlook.application, etc...

Hi everybody. I have a paper form that I scan into an image. My user fills some circles in this paper form using black ink. Every form has ten rows with five circles each and the user fills only one circle for each row. I was wondering if I could use the Python Imaging Library to process these forms. I know the Image class is really powerful, but I can't think of a way of how to locate wich circle was filled.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
