Error Message: "Microsoft Access Can't Open the Mail Session"

I am getting the following error when I am trying to send a report as an
email attachment

"Microsoft Access Can't Open the Mail Session"

On the knowledge base on the MS site it says that this will happen if you
have installed Access 97 after installing MS Office 2000. However I haven't
installed Access 97 on this machine.

I am not using code for this, I am using the Mail as Attachment option from
the file menu.

Can anyone help me with this.

TIA

Stephen, Try opening the mail program before clicking on the "Mail as
Attachment".
I seem to remember this error having something to do with what is your
default mail program. If you have Outlook listed as your default mail
program you may need to change it to Outlook Express.

Regards.

Hi guys.. need your help. We have abc.asp page on the source server which calls a .net component on that server. The component is in MTS running under say "domain2\id1" identity. The component uses HttpWebRequest to call xyz.asp on the target server. Both servers are under the same domain say domain1 and there is a trust between domain1 and domain2. The problem is the target server is returning 401 unauthorized access when calling xyz.asp...

I've made a program sorting incomming mail in public folder. The function runs every minute by using the form.timer event. In Access XP it runs for weeks, no problem. Access 2003 runs the same code for 6 hours and stops. I've found the problem to be the Set MySession = CreateObject("MAPI.Session")

If I have a variable I want to share in my application what is the difference between just declaring a variable (Dim strMyVar as String) and using a session variable (Session("strMyVar"))? When should I use a session variable and when should I just declare it like normal? Thanks in advance!

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
