Hi,
Has anyone ever had trouble using the query analyzer tool through a vpn
client? I'm able to connect outside of work to a sqlserver db on my
company lan with enterprise mgr, but the query analyzer times out every
time I try to connect from outside of work. Both utilities work fine at
work (no vpn tunnel).

I have the following code in an Excel 2003 module that creates a query
in MS Access 2003. The created query can then be opened from Access.
In Access, right-mouse clicking in design mode, in properties, the
ODBC timeout setting is blank.
How can I set this from Excel's VBA code when "MainProgram" is
executed? (Commandtimeout does not set this property)

Hi.
I have the problem that some records in a ms sqlserver table is unable
to update from Access.
I get the error message odbc-time out error in linked table......
I tried to copy this table to another database, where none but me was
aktive.
And then it worked quit ok when I try to save the record.
I am thinking about if there is some trigger och restraint that I
don't know about, but I don't know how to se all of this in the

Hi
Recently I did some DB2 and ODBC coding in Visual FoxPro. I bumped on a
problem I cannot resolve.
When I issue a delete statement that deletes no rows (no rows qualify
for the WHERE conditions), DB2 raises SQL0100W warning with
SQLSTATE=02000. The same happens when issuing an insert with select
clause (insert into .... select from ...) when no rows are fetched by
the select clause.

One of our clients has reported a problem. Everything was working
fine on Monday, but since Tuesday all is going wrong. The sysadmin
assures me that there have been no changes to the network, or the
servers.
Three applications, one back-end database server (SQL Server 2000 with
all service packs etc.).

Hi,
I am developing winforms project using vb.net. In this i am connecting SQL 2000 DB using odbc connection. When i run SQL select query i am getting timeout error.
But the same select query runs in the query analyzer for 7 minutes. I have also set the odbccommand.Timeout as 0. But still i have the same problem.
