Hello,
I have the following problem working with DatabaseMetaData. There is a
database with table and attribute names in Russian. Database cluster was
initialized with appropriate ru_RU.KOI8-R locale. All the databases were
created with KOI8-R encoding. No problems were encountered in accessing
database table data with JDBC.

Hi
My box: RedHat 9.0, Pentium III
Recently I upgraded from PostgreSQL 7.3.2 to PostgreSQL 7.4.1.
The PostgreSQL 7.3.2's rpms were installed from RehHat CDs
The PostgreSQL 7.4.1's rpms I used to upgrade were downloaded from RHEL3
subdirectory (of the mirror
ftp://ftp4.ar.postgresql.org/pub/mirrors/postgresql/binary/v7.4.1/redhat/rhel3).
The upgrade is working well, even I can connect to PostgreSQL from a PHP

Dear group,
I would like to know where I could find rpms for
Redhat 7.3. I have looked at the downloads page and I see only source
rpms and rpms for Redhat 9 and FC1. I did download the src rpm and when
I run the rpm -ba postgresql.spec I get the following error message:
configure: error: could not find function 'krb5_encrypt' required for
Kerberos 5
error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.93268 (%build)

I have been using Postgresql 7.2.4 on a Redhat 8.0 system. Prior to
putting the system into production I want to upgrade Postgresql and PHP
to the latest stable versions.
To that end I have downloaded the latest versions and compiled them. I
have saved my current databases using pg_dumpall.
Currently I have the last versions that Redhat provided for Postgresql
which is version 7.2.4.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
