Hi My box: RedHat 9.0, Pentium III Recently I upgraded from PostgreSQL 7.3.2 to PostgreSQL 7.4.1. The PostgreSQL 7.3.2's rpms were installed from RehHat CDs The PostgreSQL 7.4.1's rpms I used to upgrade were downloaded from RHEL3 subdirectory (of the mirror ftp://ftp4.ar.postgresql.org/pub/mirrors/postgresql/binary/v7.4.1/redhat/rhel3). The upgrade is working well, even I can connect to PostgreSQL from a PHP

Dear group, I would like to know where I could find rpms for Redhat 7.3. I have looked at the downloads page and I see only source rpms and rpms for Redhat 9 and FC1. I did download the src rpm and when I run the rpm -ba postgresql.spec I get the following error message: configure: error: could not find function 'krb5_encrypt' required for Kerberos 5 error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.93268 (%build)

I have been using Postgresql 7.2.4 on a Redhat 8.0 system. Prior to putting the system into production I want to upgrade Postgresql and PHP to the latest stable versions. To that end I have downloaded the latest versions and compiled them. I have saved my current databases using pg_dumpall. Currently I have the last versions that Redhat provided for Postgresql which is version 7.2.4.

I'm installing Python 2.4.4 on a CentOS release 4.6 (Final) 64-bit machine. Running "./configure --prefix="/ usr/local/yosi/ciao-4.0/ots" --enable-shared" appears to be fine, but I get the following error message when I run "make": building '_tkinter' extension gcc -pthread -fPIC -fno-strict-aliasing -DNDEBUG -g -fwrapv -O3 -Wall - Wstrict-prototypes -DWITH_APPINIT=1 -I/usr/X11R6/include -I. -I/usr/ local/yosi/Python-2.5.2/./Include...

I need to compile PostgreSQL 8.3.5 on CentOS 4.2. The CentOS already has PostgreSQL 7 installed as part of its default installation. For some reason, I cannot touch the existing PostgreSQL (upgrading, etc) --I really need to use my own compilation of PostgreSQL. Is it possible to have multiple installations of PostgreSQL (and different version too) on the same server? At least in theory, I should use a different port for my own PostgreSQL...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
