What I am trying to do is select all the rows out of the categories
table (see below) and select the sum of j_amount out of the judgment
table. Right now it is only returning the categories that are in the
judgment table. I want it to return those fields with the amounts out
of the judgment table, but also the all the other categories from the
categories table with 0 as there amount. Does anyone have a
suggestion.
select ca_code,ca_desc ,sum(j_amount) as sum_amt,ca_dis_ cycle
from categories LEFT OUTER JOIN judgment ON
(j_category=ca_ code)
where j_case_no='4569 8'
and j_party_no=1
group by ca_code,ca_desc ,ca_dis_cycle
thanks,

Hello everyone, I have a query problem.
I'll put it like this. There is a 'publishers' table, and there is a
'titles' table. Publishers publish titles (of course). Now I want to make a
query (in MS SQL Server) that would return the last title published by every
of the publishers. Quite clear situation. But I can't make it work.
If I use inner join (which I should, because I need data from both tables)
then I get a result showing all...

Hi all
I use a data adapter to read numerous tables in to a dataset.
The dataset holds tables which in turn holds full details of the records
i.e. keys, extra colums etc..
In some cases I need to use parts of the tables in datagrids, and here is

I have a data table that lists a series of items in my database. In my user
form, I want the user to be able to filter by a number of criteria (e.g.
location, contract, date modified, etc). Other than modified date, all my
filters are selected via combo boxes. I would like to have the combo boxes
update so that if there are no items available in the currently filtered
list for a given selection, that selection will not appear in the...

Dear Group,
I have a heirarchical set of database tables, say - "order" and "order_type"
and want to display a series of orders in a grid control, and in place of
the order_type foreign key identifier, I would like a dropdown combo box
(lookup from the "order_type" table) to change the type of the order. I also
need an update command button, a delete row button and also an insert new
row button.
I'm sure this is a very common design...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
