The customer made a wild request: they want on their admin panel a
textarea that will display an existing resume.
This textarea, however, must have a dynamic width, one that "fills the
screen width of any sized screen". Sorry but I cannot fathom how to
do this!
<textarea name="resume" cols="108" rows="29" wrap="physical><?=
$resume...

I am filling a TEXTAREA with text and links from a database. I need to
display the <a href....> code in the TEXTAREA as a clickable link with
_blank targetting.
I realise I could simply use a TD but a closed table design and
limited space require me to scroll the data loaded from the database.
I need to avoid LAYERS for the sake of cross...

This weekend I wanted to learn AJAX, so I set up a little toy page
where I could experiment. The idea of this page is that you click in
one of the boxes to get some controls, at which point you can add text,
images, or HTML to the box. This seems to work fine in FireFox, but not
in IE. You can see the problem here:

I'm fairly new to web development so bare with me.
The html page that i've created isn't working and i can't figure out why. I'm guessing there are some rules that need to be followed when putting xml between the <textarea></textarea> tags. The textarea and the submit buttons are located inside <form> tags. When a button is pressed...

Hi All;
I, like others, have been frustrated with designing
forms that look and flow the same in both IE and Firefox.
They simply did not scale the same.
I have discovered, to my chagrin, that IE7 does not seem
to offer any way to control the font size of a text input
element.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
