I am trying to create a primary key constraint on a view in the
following statement. However, I got an error ORA-00907: missing right
parenthesis. If the CONSTRAINT clause is removed, then the view is
created fine. Does anyone know how to creat Primary Key Constraint
for a View? Thanks.
CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW RPT_VW_WMN (

It seems that you can not create a materialized view if you are using
outer joins...can someone please verify this?
Thanks

Bit of an obscure one here, so please bear with me. I have two copies
of a database which should be identical. Both have a complex view
which is identical. I can open the views and the data is as expected
and match. I can query it in several ways as detailed below. The 5th
version of the simple query below based on the second copy of the view...

I'm implementing some image processing algorithms in C++. I created a
class called 'image' (see declaration below), that will take care of the
memory allocations and some basic (mathematical) stuff. The class will
behave like a std::vector (copy constructor and assignment create a deep
copy), but with 2D indexing.
Now I also need a 'view'...

I just resolved a strange situation I was having with an ODBC linked SQL 7
view in an Access 2000 MDB file, and I'm trying to get some understanding as
to what happened.
The linked view was scrolling very slowly in the MDB file; however, it
scrolled very quickly when accessed through an ADP file. Theoretically,
since it's a server-side...

I previously posted re. this, but thought I'd try again with a summary of
facts.
I have an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL Server 7 back end. There is a view that
is linked to the database via ODBC and has been in place for several years
without any performance problems.
Recently I added a couple of fields to the output of the view, and it...

Has anyone tried to create a SQL7 view using the CREATE VIEW command
and ADO.NET? If so, is there a trick in trapping a SQL error when
trying to create the view? I have a VB.NET app that, amoung other
things, can create views based on existing tables and a table of
column name equivalents. If I accidently introduce a column name
equivalent...

Here is another virtual mode example for the .NET 2.0 framework while
working with the list view. Since you can not access the items collection of
the list view you need to do sorting another way... here is my code on how I
did it to help anyone starting out get an idea of how to use virtual mode in
..NET 2.0
Imports...

Hi,
I have had a lot of problems getting web pages, master pages and
content pages to render in VS2005 design view the same as they would in
Internet Explorer. I did a lot of looking on the internet for answers
but didn't have much luck. Anyway I believe I have found the causes of
the problems and thought I should share them in case any one...

I had a strange situation with a view in SQL 7, that I could use some input
on.
I had a very simple view -- select a, b, c from table1 where x=y and z=q.
Field a in table1 originally was varchar 70. A long time ago I changed it to
varchar 95.
I used this view as an ODBC linked table in an Access MDB. Recently, there
was one row which has...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...
