hello,
i develop a project with a mysql interface. one mysql table holds all
the images for my project.
everything works quite well so far, except i'm not able to upload images
into the database. the following function does the mysql UPDATE, it
requires the image and the image ID as arguments.
additionally it dumps the image to my filesystem ('/tmp/image.gif') -

I am trying to update a field of type IMAGE.
I am able to do this by deleting the record and then INSERTing a new record
as shown below in the commented section.
But I really want to do this with an UPDATE command as shown below in the
un-commented code. I assume this is possible.
The image is passed as a byte array called 'content'. I then want to update
the column STREAM with the new 'CONTENT'.

I have a gridview i managed to update using the edit option in the smartmenu. The problem comes when i delete a value or make a value read only.
Say i have a table Employee with the following columns : EmpID, Emp Name, Password, Emp Type.
Now when i remove the value EmpID, the gridview does not update. it just reloads when i hit update but no changes are made.

I have written a form, and a stored procedure to update the said form.
It really is as simple as that. A user can go into the form, update some fields and hit the update button to update the information which is stored in a SQL database.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
