Hi everyone
I´m having some problems with replacing one form with another. The first
problem is the the replace function only works once - and the second problem
is that the thml code dosn´t get interpreted.. but is treated as plain text.
You can se a short example here:
http://www.schimkat.dk/forms.htm
Some hints on that one would be nice.

I need to replace my email address on hundreds of web pages with a new
address (in a graphic, not a mailto) in order to thwart the email
harvesters that spammers are using. Ideally, I'd like to do so while
maintaining the same file dates.
My web site is currently hosted on a Sun/Solaris/Apache platform.
Does anyone know of a reliable way to recursively replace one text
string with another, either using unix commands, a proven perl...

I have seen lots of examples where some HTML text is replaced with a
background image using CSS. For example, replacing the text of an <h1> with
a graphical logo, like so:
CSS:
h1 span { display: none; }
h1 { height: 100px; background: url("mycompany.gif") no-repeat 35px 40px; }
HTML:
<h1><span>My Company</span></h1>

Isn't inserting good data and getting it out of a db a pain in the a$$?
I am going to be using the Markdown text to HTML parser
(http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/dingus) for creating HTML
from user input (for a bespoke CMS) so that users can put in their own
headings, lists and links etc.
This is great and gets round all the issues of apostrophes etc. when
inserting informaiton into a database for me.

I am writing a quick program to edit a binary file that contains file paths
(amongst other things). If I look at the files in notepad, they look like:
<gibberish>file//g:\pathtofile1<gibberish>file//g:\pathtofile2<gibberish>
etc.
I want to remove the "g:\" from the file paths. I wrote a console app that
successfully reads the file and writes a duplicate of it, but fails for some
reason to do the "replacing" of the "g:\". The code...

Hi there,
I am writing a program to load HTML from file and send it to IE
directly. I've met some problem in charset setting. Most of HTML have
charset "us-ascii", for some reason, some UNICODE TEXT will be
inserted into the HTML before sending to IE. The problem is
1) Can I specify special charset for some component, e.g.
<span charset="UTF-8"SOME UNICODE HERE</spand>
2) If "NO" for 1), so any way to change the charset of the...

am replacing the default "Browse..." button for input type=file. This works fine except that the form will only submit after the SUBMIT button is clicked twice.
Any ideas on why this is happening or a workaround? I'm testing on IE
Thanks!

I have xsl code which I was hoping could be used to replace one specific tag from an xhtml document and output another xhtml document.
xsl has phenomenal potential in data replacing, but coming from C/C++ background, it looks like a functional language I'm not familiar with.
Here's the link to where I got the code (thanks goes to the author), but I don't have a strong enough background in xsl to tell what is going on.
xslfile.xsl ...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
