The following (likely far from imperfect code), reports a value of NaN
in the j4 display. I suppose the problem is I am not really passing
the "checked" value of the radio button via .value ... without having
to get this value via html, is there any way I can passed the checked
value via html .. maybe with syntax like n4.checked.value or
something..
Many thanks.

Hey All--
I'm rusty on my JavaScript but I'm pulling it back out to do a PHP/MySQL
database application. I'm doing all the validation in PHP, but I'm using
JavaScript to show/hide questions which depend on the responses to other
questions, e.g. "If you answered yes to the previous question, then what
time of day will you need your service activated?"
One aspect of this is needing to be able to decide which radio button in
certain...

Hi All,
Is there anyway I can select an option button by clicking a command
button? From what I have found out so far, unlike a check box, and option
button has no value so I can't assign it one.
TIA,
Mark

Trouble passing mysql table name in php. If I use an existing table
name already defined everything works fine as the following script
illustrates.
<?php
function fms_get_info()
{
$result = mysql_query("select * from $tableInfo") ;
for ($i = 0; $i < mysql_num_rows($result); $i++)

`Hi all,
I am trying to get the selected radio button item in a radio button list using javascript. I am successful at doing this, but the problem is I have several Radio Button Lists, and the javascript gives me three alerts for each of them. In other words all three of them have at least one element checked and so I get three alerts with the below code.
var ips = document.getElementsByTagName('input');
for(i=0; i<ips.length; i++)
{...

Hi All,
I am creating a report from Access 2007. I have a form where the user selects a Month from a combo box and then presses a button to show the sum of all pages worked for the Month selected in the combo box. I am populating the combo box from the database and everything there works great.
My problem is this: How do I code the button/combo box to take the value selected by the user in the combo box and then calculate the total...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
